Do not call yourself a real traveler if you do not explore the attractions in the Old City, Jakarta. There are many options that deserve a place full of history you visit. As a guide you tour the region, Scholastic Press issued the book "Tour of the old city" by Edi Dimyati.

"This book originated from the spirit. My background is not archeology, not a historian. But I am happy to travel to new places, new information," said Edi Dimyati in launching the book "Old City Tour" in Matraman Gramedia, Jakarta, Friday (11/03/2011).

Dimyati said his book was trying to convey the history but the easy way. "I wrote the theme of history as possible. I set the attractions in Old Town, so not all places. I was only able to 26 locations, because of the limitation page," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of Unit Candrian Attahiyat Old City who attended as a speaker said in the book needs no additional locations other than from 26 locations in the book. "But this book is so soft and reading material that can digest various circles," said Candrian.

In the book reviewed 26 exciting attractions in the Old City. Not only Fatahillah Park and the Maritime Museum which is famous. But also other places like Shipyard VOC, Red Store, until the house of Abu and points of interest. In addition, Edy's also peeling communities associated with the Old City. He also provides guidance to explore and map the Old City.
